HAPPY TURKEY DAY !!!!! Just wanted to stop by real quick in between my turkey bastings and wish you all---my wonderful friends, "angels" and family a Happy Thanksgiving!! Wherever you're spending your holiday today, I hope you are surrounded by those you love and hold dear and enjoy a delicious feast as you gather together.
For those of you traveling, I wish you a safe journey. I pray that we are all together next year and for many years to come...let us all be mindful and ever thankful for the countless blessings we enjoy and keep those who could not be with us today close in our hearts.

One Proud Mom...

Hi everyone...I know its been a while since I've posted but we've been alittle busy around here. Miss me??? LOL
Last weekend our beautiful daughter Erica (who me?... bragging???never...lol)made her confirmation and we had a bash afterwards at our house. I've posted some pics in case you guys wanted to take a peek.
I took this one of Erica and her b/f Mike back at our house...don't they make a cute couple? What a doll this kid is...he's such a sweet young man..and he ADORES her..its so adorable to watch them together...ahhhh young love (sigh)!

And the "cavity causing"..."filling chilling" cake....man, it was the thickest and sweetest cake I've ever had. You can't tell from the pic but this cake was about 6-7 inches tall (no sh*t!!!) and about 1-2 inches of that was butter-cream frosting. I could literally feel the fillings ready to fall out of my mouth when I took a bite....lmao. It was one layer chocolate, one layer of vanilla (cake) with fudge filling in between. Just looking at it put a few pounds on everyone...

OOh and how could I have almost forgotten to post these great pics of our little guy. The Thurs. night before Erica's confirmation, our little Alex had his testing ceremony for his belt promotion. He was promoted from green belt to blue!! What an amazing job he did...we're so proud of him. The pic below is one of him and his instructor Master Kim. "Thumbs up for a job well done!!!" :D

Ooops, guess I should have posted this one first so they were in order...oh well, doesnt matter. This is Alex and the Grand Master. He is changing Alex's belt to his new blue one and then he gave him his metal. He was so happy and excited...he's worked so hard. Way to go ALEX!!!!! YEAH!!!!Ok...so that's whats been going on around here....phew!?!??!!? Sorry its such a long post but every mom needs a little brag time about their kids every now and then, right??? Hope you all had a great week and weekend. This weeks gonna be a crazy one too with Thanksgiving coming up on Thurs. and all. Lots of baking and cooking to do...but I love the way the house smells on Thanksgiving morning. Sweet lingering smells of apples and cinnamon from the pies that were baked the night before...mixed with the aroma of a huge fresh turkey roasting in the oven, stuffed full with my grandfather's secret-recipe chestnut stuffing....
DROOL.....Oh god...I'm making myself hungry already...lmao
Well...gotta dash for now...lots to do around here before Thurs. We're having 15 people here for dinner...how about you??? What are all my dear friends plans for Turkey Day????? Drop me a line to say HI and fill me in...I miss you.
