I'M BACK...finally!!

Greetings everyone!! No...I didn't fall off the face of the earth..LOL...just been really busy around here. So much going on, my head is spinning.
I've tried to sit down several times and post but it seems like everytime I logged on something would happen or someone would need something...know the feeling???
Well..its' Friday night and I just cleaned up the dinner dishes and took the doggies out so I figured now was a good a time as any (providing there are no interuptions) and I'd catch you all up on the goings-on around our house.
Let's see...
First of all, I hope you all had a wonderful Valentines Day...(Tried to post something that night too :C) Mine was nice..had my mother-in-law over for dinner (we ordered in...Chinese...yum) It was a really rough day for her considering she was alone for her 1st Val's Day and to make it even worse, it was her and Dad's anniversary. So I invited her to come to our house for dinner and to stay over night...it was really nice to have her here.
Then the week following that is a bit of a blur. You know how it goes...the days are so friggin' busy and confusing that all the days seem to blend into one gigantic blur..LOL. Well, that's how I feel.
Between TKD classes, orthodontist appts., the neverending list of errands and the kids needing to be here and there, its just overwhelming.
My poor greyhound Roxy had a bit of a traumatic weekend ( past). My little guy was dashing into the bathroom and Roxy was just outside the door. The doorbell rang and she got excited so her tail was wagging like mad...anyway...it somehow got in between the door molding and the door (hinge side) and when he slammed the bathroom door.....OOOUUUCCHHH...yep you got it...her tail got caught!!! He opened the door right away of course, when she yelped. However, in that split second of time, instead of waiting for him to open it..she took off like a bat out of hell and tore the tip of her tail right off!! (CRINGE!!!!) I came upstairs and heard my little guy crying hysterically and apologizing from inside the bathroom. He was terrified of what he had done to her...but I couldnt get him to explain further so I panicked, at first. All I saw was some blood on the wall and him crying so naturally I assume the worst. I thought he had hurt himself. When I got him to calm abit he told me that he didn't mean to hurt Roxy so I called out to my hubby and we both went into our bedroom to check her out. On the way, I did find the tip of her tail on the floor in the hallway (about 1 1/2 inches) and was mortified.
Bless her heart...she was calm and seemed fine. She was lying on her bed (as usual..she's very lazy) and Rick checked out her tail and saw that it was bleeding just a little. Long story short, he spent the entire day at the Animerge clinic with her. She had minor surgery to fix her tail and is on antibiotics for another few days but she's doing great. The vet said that the tail should heal fine and aside from being a bit shorter it will look normal. My poor baby.
PHEW!!
Oh...and on that very same day...I went into my daughters room to put her laundry away while she was with her Dad at the vet and found that her hamster was dead....ugh!
Seeing as she hadnt fed him in awhile, I was furious!!! So as a punishment for not being responsible...I adopted her Leopard Gheckos..(3 of them)...she hadnt cleaned their tank or been keeping up with them either so I told her that she couldnt have them anymore...they're mine now.
I know that sounds mean...but if she cant be responsible enough to care for another living creature then she shouldnt be allowed to have them. Right?
Anyway...they're beautiful...3 females...and hey, they're Leopard spotted :D
How cool is that???? I'll take a pic soon and post it. They are 2 dark ones and one albino...all with leopard spots. I named them too (she never got around to it)...they are Iris, Lucia (pronounced Loosha), and Maya (pronounced My-a).

I think thats about all I can think of for now....sorry its been such a long post but its been a long time...promise to stop by here more often so I can keep the posts shorter...lol!!
OOh wait...almost forgot. Out little guy, Alex got a trophy at a school assembly for doing so well in extra curricular activities (Tae Kwon Do)...so they presented him with their "Karate Kid" award. He was soooo proud..so were Mom and Dad!!! He's such a great kid and he tries so hard!!!
Ok...now thats all...lmao!!! I'm sure I'll sign off and think of tons of other stuff I wanted to tell you all but...oh well. There's always tomorrow!!! Hope I didn't bore you all to tears...

P.S....Just to let you all know....I spoke with our dear Miss Kate the other day...it was so wonderful to hear her lovely voice...I miss her sooooooo much. She's doing great and misses everyone but assured me that she will be back on-line soon. If you get the chance and visit her blog, jot down her Email addy and send her a quick note..I know it would mean alot to her.
