Counting Down....

Hello again to everyone...thanks to all of you for your wonderful comments and well wishes for Dad. I'm so glad that you enjoyed hearing all about my DEF LEP adventure and seeing all my pics. It was DEF a day & night I will never forget!!!
Just thought I'd give you all a quick update on whats going on around here before we leave for vacation (3 days and counting...lol). Rick's dad has been in Columbia Hosp. in NYC for over a week now in the Transplant Unit where he had his transplant surgery years ago. They first thought that they were going to perform a procedure to help isolate the kidney to keep it from poisoning his body but now they believe that his fever-causing infections are due to other problems and not necessarily the tranplanted kidney! It almost feels like we're back where we started months ago and its very distressing.
They have been doing some tests and havent really come up with anything concrete yet and in the meantime, poor Dad has been back and forth with fevers again and is still so weak that he can barely eat or stay awake. His has had a few good days and is now having really bad, discouraging ones again. I can't imagine how that poor man must feel...or Mom. The only thing Rick and I can do is be there for her, keep them both in our prayers and hope for the best.
I can truly be very disheartening...to say the least...and its been a very stressful few months on us all.
Thanks to all of you..my "Angels" and my dear friends for keeping our family in your prayers!! I love you all and appreciate your thoughts and prayers more than words can say!! Keep 'em comin' Loves..we're not outta the woods yet :D
On a lighter note...as I mentioned earlier...we are lucky enough to finally be able to go away on a mini-vacation. YEAH!!!! We are leaving NJ on Sunday morning for a family camping trip to Pennsylvania and we'll be back home sometime Thurs. evening. I know its not for very long..but we'll take whatever we can get at this point. The kids are so excited...and so am I!!
I can hardly wait to spend some time alone (ha ha..hopefully) with Hubby and just relax. We need this trip so badly...I can't even begin to tell you...lol.
So...I'll see you all when I get back...don't miss me too much...LMAO...just kidding!!

OOh and one more thing....I have posted below an awesome picture of my very own..personal...rock n' roll guitar wheelin' hero. My gorgeous hubby Rick playing his sleek black Yamaha..is he HOT or what??? Watch out Viv and Phil...hehe!

Gotta dash...have to finish cleaning the house and packing up for our departure this weekend...I'll post again sometime next week after we get back!

Sorry It Took Me So Long

Hello again ladies....I"M BACK...LOL...finally! I know I know...I promised you all the last few pics and then I disappeared, leaving you all hanging on for the last few shots of our LepMen. I apologize...things got a bit crazzzzy around here and I havent had the time to post anything.
Well...here I am..finally and Here They Are!!!
Technically...this one of Rick should have been last....oops! We were screaming "HEY RICK" and waving our arms above our heads..and we got a great smile (as you can see) ...and a thumbs up from the Thundergod himself.
BTW....After I uploaded these pics I realized they are abit out of order but ...oh well..nobody's perfect...LOL!!! These are some shots of the last few precious moments our Lepps were on stage for all to see and enjoy!! And believe me when I tell you...they kicked ass!!! I havent heard them sound that good in a while..NOT that they dont always sound amazing...dont get me wrong. But they sounded extra-amazing that night...NEVER BETTER!!!
My niece and I screamed to Phil and we're waving like idiots ...lol...so he smiled and gave us "thumbs up" followed by a wave and a "BYE" that he appeared to say directly to us...what a sweetheart...it was very cool indeed!!

This ones a pretty good shot...lol...dont know what the hell Joe was sayin to Phil but whatever it was must have been pretty funny because the look on Phil's face when he turned around was priceless and Joe was smilling from ear to ear and laughing!!!

Ok ladies...I hate to say it...but that's all I have. Hope you enjoyed seeing my pics and hearing my story about my AMAZING DAY (&NIGHT) !! I know I will NEVER EVER forget it..I had the time of my life.

And tons of love and thanks to my wonderful hubby who stayed up with me, listening to me rant and rave about the time I had and even though he was totally exhausted...stayed up with me to download all the awesome pics from my camera and size them on my computer for me!! Well....I"m off to get some housework done and get packing. Yep, you heard me right...packing!! Yippee!!! After all we've been going through with Rick's dad (update coming soon) and all the other stresses in our lives lately...we have finally decided and made arrangements to get away as a family for a few days. We don't want to go far, for obvious reasons, but after not thinking that ANY sort of vacation was going to be possible this summer, we have made plans to go away camping for 5 days and we leave on Sunday morning!!! I can hardly wait!!
I'll fill you in on the details in my next post...and let you all know how Dad is doing. All I can say for now is PLEASE keep those prayers coming..he needs them!! Thanks to all "my angels" :D
